Primary / Secondary Spec Links(http://www.wowhead.com) :
My spec is adaptable. I currently am running 12/0/59 with 2/3 Morbidity due to my present need to maintain a tank off-spec. This build allows me to both maximize my death coil damage via free runic power from Revitalize and AMS soaking during the empty GCD's of the reaping rotation.

Glyph of Dark Death is interchangeable with Glyph of Death and Decay on AOE pulls. Glyphs are consumables and should be used as such.

Past Character Names:

No. In The Burning Crusade I played my warlock as my main toon up through Sunwell. When Wrath came out I played on my warrior and warlock for a bit, filling guild needs as asked. I made the full time change to my Death Knight in patch 3.1 and haven't looked back.
12. When did you start playing WoW? Have you played any other MMOs?
I started levelling my first toon about a month before TBC shipped. Prior to that I had dabbled in EQ but always preferred to play Diku MuDs. When I started playing wow, I quickly got hooked and rolled a few characters to their mid 50's before settling on my warlock and warrior. Both of which I played in TBC.
13. Willingness to adjust talents if asked?
I'm open to all discussion about talents and spec, I've played blood/frost/unholy as dps and as tank. I also believe in peer review and intellectual discourse as a means of personal growth.

17. What is your current Guild?
<Ticklefight>
18. What were the last 3 guilds you were in, and reasons for leaving:
<Ticklefight> is my most recent, and I would be leaving to go somewhere more stable, without a revolving door of recruits. I am looking for a guild that is progressing well without all the drama and negativity that run through Ticklefight like a plague. Looking for a guild that does not recycle 10 members every 2 weeks. Looking for a guild that can kill content every week, not just once.
<Swing Shift> was my project-guild I formed on Dragonblight in an attempt to be a hardcore Strictly 10man guild. The idea was to set my own hours and still clear the (relatively) difficult 10man content without the aid of 25man gear. Recruiting woes and poor attendance led me to abandon the project and search for a guild with suitable raid times, which led me to Ticklefight.
<Ascendance> was my Burning Crusade raiding guild on Dragonblight, in which I cleared all of Burning Crusade on my Warlock. After Wrath launched, there was a mass-exodus of talent which was capped by the GM/RL (heart and soul) quitting WoW. This led me to branch out on my own.
19. Do you have someone in Escaper that will give you a good recommendation on your application?
Not currently.
20. How you would like to benefit from being in Escaper; why did you choose Escaper?
I would benefit from joining Escaper by finding a stable guild with which to spend my time. It is important to me to enjoy my guild, become friendly with my guildies, and feel as if my contributions are important. I chose Escaper because I feel I am a top-quality raider with exceptional attendance. I want to kill Arthas in the hardest mode possible, in a timely manner.
21. How do you feel about playing a role off the bench? Can you be ready on short notice if called upon? (Even if there is an opening for your class, it does not guarantee you playtime.)
I am a guild oriented player. I will do what is best for the guild. Of course, every applicant wants to be a full time raider. I believe that with equal consideration, I will show my worth and play my way into a core raid spot.
22. Are you willing to spend 400 gold a night in repairs and consumables, stay focused and wipe for 4 hours straight, come back the next day and do it all over again until a new boss dies (or even a "farmed" boss)?
I am, I am adept at farming the AH for gold, and have my fishing/cooking maxed to provide myself the food consumables I need.
23. Can you maintain a high level of professionalism during raids AND on public forums?
I can. One of my major frustrations is the lack of professionalism in my current guild.
24. Do you have any PC or disconnect issues we should know about? If possible list your system’s specs. Who is your ISP?
My ISP and PC is very very stable.
I have:
E8400 oc'd to 3.6ghz
790i Ultra SLI MoBo
Nvidia GTX280
4gb DDR3
I use AT&T DSL.
25. Can you use Vent? Do you have a Microphone and Headset? Are you comfortable speaking on Vent?
I use Ventrilo64, I have a working Plantronics Headset & Microphone. I am comfortable speaking on vent, I find it helps to build relationships inside the guild. I also feel that communication is key to downing complex encounters.
26. Short Essay: This portion of the app is here for you to provide your "personal touch" and demonstrate your ability to articulate and show us what you are worth. Show us what sets you apart from the rest of the candidates; what makes you better? What can you bring to Escaper? What do you want us to know that wasn’t covered?
About me:
I am a 30 year old Carpenter residing in San Jose, California. I work on high end custom homes, usually ranging in the $1-10M range. I have been laid-off most of 2010 due to the economic downturn and having priced myself out of the market by commanding a high wage due to my experience, investment of tools, and bilingual spanish.
Should I go back to work, which I do not expect to happen, I would have no trouble making the raid times. As of right now, I am currently in the process of applying to Universities in the area to study to become a Teacher.
Gaming History:
I began gaming, like every kid, when I got my first Nintendo when I was a young kid. I have been hooked ever since. The bulk of my gaming career was spent on MUDs. I started playing them in 1993 and continued till 2006 when I took up WoW. I found them to be more challenging than console games, had more longterm playability and a sense of community that no console game ever had.
My DK:
My Death Knight was created to be an alt, initially. I played it casually at first, while levelling, to experience the starting zone and class. Quickly I fell in love with the mechanic of the class and never looked back. Professions I chose while levelling were replaced with raiding professions and thousands of gold have been invested. This would-be alt was decked out and geared to be a main from the time I hit 80.
Every piece of gear I bid on, gem and equip is done with extensive research into gear combinations for particular fights and specs. I use tools such as Kahorie's DK Simulator, DK Optimize and Rawr to help me decide on gear and gems. However, I always reserve the final decision based upon my own knowledge and feeling. Thinking forward, I gear for the specific encounter.
Goals:
My one desire is to kill Arthas in Hardmode. I want to experience this game again at its bleeding edge like I remember in BC. With Ascendance we were server first Illidan, Kalecgos, Brutallus & Felmyst. Ranked in the top100 US at the time. I remember those days fondly. I learned a lot about how to raid, why I raid, and who I am from my nights there.
To help facilitate this goal, I study this game outside of the game. I research encounters, I watch videos. I read strats upon strats from varying guilds. I am always looking for a way to survive longer, dps harder, push my game beyond what I know.
