I had originally submitted this privately but have decided to go ahead and submit publicly.

3. How did you find Escaper: I have been checking wowprogress specifically for a new guild. I was looking for a guild that needed a Shadow Priest, had raid times I could make 99% of the time with ease, and had world class progression. Escaper is the first and only guild to meet those qualifications so here I am.

5. Your Country / Time Zone: USA/Alabama/CST
6. Can You Be Online And Ready To Raid with 99% Attendance Monday – Thursday 6:15pm – 10:30pm PST? Yes I can. Approximately once every 2 months I have to close (8:15) which would put me a max of 20 minutes late.
7. Do you have any factors that may cause you to go AFK during raids? I am married with a 6 month old child. My wife takes care of 99% of the baby stuff so only if something very serious came up. (Like the pizza delivery guy...oh wait)
8. School / Work Schedule Due To Dramatically change in the foreseeable future? I am a Senior employee that makes my own schedule for the most part so I should be fine.
9. Are you a transfer or a local? (xfers please list your realm) Transfer if accepted from Blackhand Horde

Character Name & Class: Kelemvor/Shadow Priest (13/0/58) Off-Spec Disc (57/14/0) Both are cookie cutter, however, I recently attained 4 piece tier 10 which is making me seriously question the usefulness of Mind Blast. Will prob be tweaking it to see if there are better options in lieu of this change in rotation.

12. When did you start playing WoW? Have you played any other MMOs? Since the day of Launch. Played several.
Ultima Online - I was on the Lake Superior server. Played a bard(Khrom) music build controlling liches and demons and porting them on top of people at the orc fort (crossroads)
Everquest 1 - Played a Dwarf Cleric named Khrom to level 70 on Rallos Zek server. Was in the first Lady Vox raid at level 46. Had about 120 people. Wiped repeatedly. Ahhhhh memories... Killed a bunch of gods on a bunch of planes. Cazic Thule trains were one of my favorites. Was in the guild combine. Quit playing EQ to start up DAOC(Dark Age of Camelot) with a bunch of Combine members that were tired of EQ.
DAOC - Played a Dwarf Healer named Khrom on the Igraine server. First Healer to 50 on the server and first Healer in the entire game to 1 million realm points(pvp). Was in combine and raided with them through Darkness Falls. Combine folks got tired of DAOC too because content was being released comically slow and we completely dominated PVP so.....
City of Heroes - This game is a pseudo mmorpg with very small raids and no real gear but instead enhancements to your abilities, stats etc. Got to 50 with 6 different classes. Tankers, brawlers, controllers etc. Not much to say here as I only played 3 months.
World of Warcraft - Started playing the day of launch at 9 AM and never taken a single break and never gotten tired of playing it. I did get burned out really fast with pvp because I prefer realm army style pvp like what was in DAOC but I guess its ok for what it is. Played a few other mmo's during this time like Aion, Runes of Magic, Lineage 2, Rappelz, and others in my spare time but nothing compares to WoW.
13. Willingness to adjust talents if asked? Short answer is yes. I am actually wanting to play around with my shadow talents in order to adjust for MB being less of a priority what with 1.85 second mind flays in raid now. I am always open to crazy specs that might work. I even tried an oddball Shadow/Disc hybrid that stopped at VT in order to take advantage of Disc damage talents and other buffs. I mean it was terrible but it was worth a 5-man or two to try it out.

18. What were the last 3 guilds you were in, and reasons for leaving:
Twilights Call - Started the guild and left in a guild split for a more hardcore raiding environment.
Treachery - Split off from Twilights Call and the name is appropriate. Started at beginning of BC. Cleared a few bosses in SSC before joining Warfare.
Warfare - My current guild. Been with them over 2 years now. Actually, it might be closer to 3. Been through a lot with them including a one time world ranking of 67 at our peak. Too much attrition and, in my opinion, leadership that has gotten complacent has lead me to no longer be satisfied with our current progression.
19. Do you have someone in Escaper that will give you a good recommendation on your application? No, I do not.
20. How you would like to benefit from being in Escaper; why did you choose Escaper? As I said earlier in the app, I was looking for a guild that would match up with my schedule as well as my goals in WoW. I also sought a guild that would need a shadow priest and challenge me to be better than I am.
21. How do you feel about playing a role off the bench? Can you be ready on short notice if called upon? (Even if there is an opening for your class, it does not guarantee you playtime.) I am a competitor and want to be in the game. I won't pretend like I like sitting out for anything. However, I understand that guild need supercedes my own. If asked to sit because I am not optimal for a raid makeup, not only would I do it, but I would probably be the one letting you know I wasn't the perfect person to be in.
22. Are you willing to spend 400 gold a night in repairs and consumables, stay focused and wipe for 4 hours straight, come back the next day and do it all over again until a new boss dies (or even a "farmed" boss)? As much as I hate doing grindy daily quests, I do what it takes to win. If winning means wiping like I love it and spending gold like the world is ending then so be it.
23. Can you maintain a high level of professionalism during raids AND on public forums? I am a 32 year old husband and father. My wife loved the immaturity out of me which is a feat in and of itself. I was the absolute stereotype of a fraternity boy with my kakhis and sandles worn 90% of my young adult life. She changed all that and now most people think I am lying when I tell them I was in 12 bar fights in college. If that is not enough, I work with people for a living, so yes, I consider myself a professional with pretty much everything I do.
24. Do you have any PC or disconnect issues we should know about? If possible list your system’s specs. Who is your ISP?

24 inch Dell Graphics Monitor. Color is too vibrant imo but the wife gets them free with her job so what can you do.
Recently media com pissed me off by slowing my internet to somethingl like 3 megabits d/l during prime time to conserve bandwidth. I called them in to make sure they realized I was paying for 20 megabit net and would not pay for it if I did not get it. Since then it has been fine. I also run 2 megabit upload.
25. Can you use Vent? Do you have a Microphone and Headset? Are you comfortable speaking on Vent? I have both and they both work extremely well. I use the Plantronics GameCom Pro 1 Gaming headset and I love it so much I bought another one as a backup when this one dies. As far as speaking in vent, I currently call out all abilities of all bosses during raids. I do not raid lead as far as setting up groups etc but I will literally say things like... Defile in 8, 5, 2 be ready. Defile on X etc. I do not expect or want to do those things should I join your guild. I do those things because I have a clear voice and my current raid/guild leader does not.

I love playing my priest. I love the entire class. I spent two years doing nothing but healing and the next 3 doing 90% dpsing as shadow. Through it all I have never wavered in trying to get better at playing my class. I have completely changed my ui no less than 5 times in order to make things better and I have no problem changing it again if it increases my dps or survivability. I spent months spamming decursive and then relearned dispelling when they nerfed it. I used to use a mod I can't even remember that stopped heals from landing on people above 90% back in the days when you had so many mana issues you had to be in healing rotations. (40-man raiding). I remember Shadow Priests being nothing but mana batteries with some additional group damage mitigation through ve. I remember when people used to spec shadow FOR pvp and Disc was considered an idiots spec. (btw, shadow is back in pvp!)
I say all this to say that I want to be the best. I want to be able to say that I spent 5 years playing this game because I was one of the best players in the world. That I was in one of the best guilds in the world. I asked my current GM point blank about being more hardcore and he said he was no longer interested in being number 1, that as long as we are progressing at a steady pace he was content. That is when I knew I could no longer devote myself fully to WF. That is why I started looking through wowprogress and that is why I found your guild. Now, you may be saying, well we don't raid 7 days a week like some of the top guilds do. Well, I agree with that as well. Hardcore raiding is not about logging in 12 hours of wipes a day until we win. It is about organized efficiency that allows you to maximize every second of your raid week. I believe the best raiding guilds are the ones that do this in a reasonable amount of time. That is why I am applying here and nowhere else. Hopefully, my performance is up to par and you have not yet filled your shadow priest spot, because I want to be a part of something as efficient as it is fun.
